Red Ribbon Week is October 24 - 28, 2011
Monday: Sign the pledge and get a sticker! Counselors will be in the cafeteria with the pledge.
Tuesday: Pajama Day* - Follow your dreams and don't do drugs.
Wednesday: Put a cap on drugs - FREE Hat Day!* No stickers required!
Thursday: I'm a jean-ius against drugs. Everyone wear your jeans!
Friday: We CAN be drug free. Please bring in one canned food item and/or a non-perishable food item and drop it off in the commons as you enter Friday morning.
Student Council will meet Wednesday after school in Mr. Boyles' room from 3:45-4:15!! Come join the fun :)
Sports Information:
Today: Home football game versus West... Come out and support the Trojans!!! Pep rally at 2:45!!
Tomorrow: East home volleyball versus Walter Johnson...This is the last home game so come out and support the team! Home MHS volleyball State playoff game!!!!
Wednesday: Home soccer versus West....This is the last home soccer game so come out and show your support for the teams.
Upcoming Winter Sports Information:
East Girls Basketball will have open gym this Friday, Oct. 28 from 3:45-5:15! Tryouts will start next week!
MHS Lady Titan basketball try-outs will begin October 31st. JV tryouts start at 5:30 in the gym. Varsity tryouts begin at 3:30. You must have a current physical to participate.
Try outs for the McDowell High boys basketball team will begin Monday, October 31st. Varsity practice will begin at 3:20. Anyone interested in trying out for the Junior Varsity team should be dressed and ready to go at 5:30. You must have a current physical before you can participate.
MHS swim team will hold a mandatory parent meeting on 10-25 (TOMORROW) at 6:30 in the auditorium at MHS.
Any 9th grader interested in wrestling for the high school needs to attend a mandatory meeting and hydration test on Saturday, October 29th at 10 AM. The meeting will be held in the wrestling room at the high school.
