Congratulations to K.D. Metcalf (Subway Grand Prize Poster winner,) Olivia Grant and Shelby Lewis (Grand Prize Runners - Up.)  They made the front page of the McDowell News today.

Red Ribbon Week is October 24 - 28, 2011

Monday:  Sign the pledge and get a sticker!  Counselors will be in the cafeteria with the pledge.

Tuesday:  Pajama Day* - Follow your dreams and don't do drugs.

Wednesday:  Put a cap on drugs - FREE Hat Day!*  No stickers required!  

Thursday:  I'm a jean-ius against drugs.  Everyone wear your jeans!

Friday:  We CAN be drug free.  Please bring in one canned food item and/or a non-perishable food item and drop it off in the commons as you enter Friday morning.  

*Remember to not violate school dress code. 




The first Math Counts Club meeting will be held Friday, October 21st in Mrs. Atkinson's room. The meeting will last from 3:20 until 4:00.
If you can solve challenging math problems and enjoy socializing with other students who love math, then this is the club for you.

Tickets to MHS Homecoming game on Friday will be on sale today and tomorrow for a discounted price of $5.00. See Mrs. Presnell for tickets. Come out and support Shania and Katie!

Any 9th grader interested in wrestling for the high school needs to attend a mandatory meeting and hydration test on Saturday, October 29th at 10 AM. The meeting will be held in the wrestling room at the high school.
